The Beginning

I have no audience. No friends. No purpose. Just a desire to write (and create short, gramatically-incorrect sentences to seem mysterious).

Perhaps if my writing develops into something readable, I may make it viewable to the public. For now, I just wish to see if I have what it takes to consistently write during the day.

For the random encounterer: I am Josh.
For the random wanderer: Hello.

I have no experience blogging, nor do I have any experience writing for pleasure. But I do have experience wanting to blog and wanting to write for pleasure. So, we'll see what my mysterious subconscious dreams up (which probably isn't much).

That should be good for a first post, right? It has the wanna-be artistic beginning, the emo-style introduction, and a random-ass attempt at being creative. Yes, that should be sufficient.

Hmmm. I predict you are going to be a successful blogger, because you have an interesting vocabulary and an interesting "voice." What you said here was nothing earth shaking, but the way you said it was interesting.

Just my opinion.

Can you stand one more suggestion? If you haven't already, start a list of blog subjects that you add to whenever you think of something -- just sentence fragments are enough. That way you don't have to sit down at the computer and then start racking your brain for a subject for a post. That's okay if you can think of something, but the list is nice to fall back on.

Thats all the advice I have for one day. I'm exhausted. :)

Wow, that's probably the coolest complement you could give a writer. My thanks.

"Can you stand one more suggestion?" Are you kidding me? You may not know it, but you have an unknown fan. I have already created a word document specifically for the blogging suggestions you have given me. (And of course, your new suggestion will be added soon.)

I appreciate all your suggestions, and I look forward to creating a blog that can be enjoyed by cool people like you :)

Ha! Cool and 62 -- it doesn't get any better than that! I'm glad I was able to help you get started. You will be amazed at how quickly you become an old (well, not really -- I should say "experienced") pro.

Maybe someday I'll be able to say, "I knew him when."

I think that'd be neat.

You remind me of my sweet grandmother.

Thank you, Josh. You couldn't give me any nicer compliment than comparing me to your grandmother. I'm honored.
